Michael Corcoran has been hired to the newly created position of
president of Paramount's consumer products and recreation group.

Corcoran will report to the studio's vice chairman Rob Moore and
oversee worldwide licensing, consumer products and themed
entertainment activities.

The new arrival will spearhead a broad range of licensing and
merchandising initiatives to extend the studio brand across platforms
like theme parks, toys, apparel, themed restaurants and book
publishing.

Executive vice president of licensing Michael Bartok will continue in
his role and will now report to Corcoran.

Corcoran comes from NBC Universal where he served in several senior
marketing, finance and operations roles including chief financial
officer of Universal Parks and Resorts and chief financial officer of
Universal's Orlando theme park.
Prior to that he served nearly 15 years in executive positions at
Tropicana Products.
