Marketing veteran DennisRice has re-joined Buena Vista Pictures Marketing (BVPM) as senior vicepresident, publicity, while Heidi Trotta has been promoted to senior vicepresident, communications, for Walt Disney Studios.

Rice, who will reportdirectly to Oren Aviv, president of BVPM Marketing, will oversee all areas ofpublicity on a national and field level for both live action and animatedfilms.

Trotta reports directly tostudio chairman Dick Cook and works closely with Zenis Mucha, senior vicepresident of corporate communications for The Walt Disney Company. She will beresponsible for the overall communication and publicity strategy at the studioincluding feature films, theatre, music and home entertainment, as well asoverseeing all awards campaigns.

Prior to Disney, Ricefounded Entertainment Marketing & Licensing, an independent consultancywhich counted Disney, MGM, Intermedia & Summit, Walden Media and othersamong its clients. From 1999 to 2002, he was president of theatrical marketingat Miramax Films, and from 1997 to 1999 he was president of worldwide marketingand publicity at October Films. Before October, he was at Disney in thecapacity of senior vice president of marketing for Buena Vista HomeEntertainment.

Trotta started working forDisney in 1990 as director, publicity, advertising and promotions for WaltDisney and Touchstone Television, and was promoted to vice president in 1995.She was named senior vice president for Walt Disney Studios in 1999.
