The first feature film produced exclusively for global internet distribution is set to go into production next week. Quantum Project will star Stephen Dorff, Fay Masterson and John Cleese and marks the directorial debut of Oscar winning production designer Eugenio Zenetti (What Dreams May Come, Restoration, Last Action Hero).

Produced by SightSounds.com and Metafilmics, the film will premiere on www.sightsound.com at 12.01am on May 5, 2000. It will be available exclusively for download sale.

Written by David Aaron Cohen, Quantum Project combines live action and extensive CGI and 3-D effects and is the "story of two electron-crossed lovers" according to producers Barnet Bain and Stephen Simon.

Sightsound.com, founded in 1995, is an internet company which distributes movies and music online. Metafilmics was formed in 1995 to develop and produce projects with a spiritual theme, its first film being What Dreams May Come.
