UK-based sales and financing house IAC Holdings has launched US division IAC America under sales veteran Ann Dubinet.

Dubinet joins as president of the Los Angeles-based operation, as well taking a seat on the board at IAC. She will continue working for Alchemy Entertainment, her 50-50 partnership with producer Martin Bregman. IAC and Alchemy expect to partner on projects on a title-by-title basis, possibly with IAC taking international rights while a US studio handles domestic.

Dubinet's previous posts include heading international for the Samuel Goldwyn Company, Island World and Live Entertainment.

Other key executive changes at IAC see J&M Entertainment co-founder Michael Ryan joining the board. Ryan, who has acted as a consultant to the company for the last six months, will focus on development and production.

IAC has also appointed entertainment lawyer Keith Cousins as managing director. Cousins was previously a board member of the company.

Guy Collins, IAC chairman and founder, said: "The addition of these industry high-flyers to the board brings the company fully to maturity. We aim to continue our efforts to provide high quality, internationally marketable movies. Opening up the LA company will give us a greater profile in the Hollywood community."

Other appointments at IAC include Rebecca Hawkes, who joins as head of technical services, and Natalie Brenner, who becomes vice-president of sales. The company is moving to new headquarters in Victoria, London next month.
