Malcolm Dudley-Smith has been promoted to senior vice president, sales and business development, at Warner Bros International Television Distribution where he will now oversee all sales activities in Latin America, Asia and Canada including pay, cable and free TV.

Dudley-Smith will also continue to be responsible for identifying equity investments, strategic alliances and channel development for WBITD in these territories. In expanding his role, he is assuming some of the responsibilities of Kevin Byles, who is leaving WBITD to return to Canada to pursue other opportunities.

Dudley-Smith will work in tandem with Josh Berger who holds a similar position for WBITD in Europe. He first joined Warner Bros when he relocated from London to Burbank in 1994 and took up a position as vice president, pay-TV and new technology licensing - Europe, at WBITD. Prior to that, Dudley-Smith was vice president, sales and business development at UIP Pay TV.
