Cinemavault has bolstered its AFM slate by taking international rights to the Irish thriller Savage and the English-language German comedy-horror Must Love Death.

Brendan Muldowney’s Savage tells of a news photographer who seeks revenge following a vicious assault and stars Darren Healy and Nora-Jane Noone.

The Irish Film Board funded the film had its world premiere at the Galway Film Festival and was an official selection at the Darklight Film Festival.

Andreas Schaap’s Must Love Death set in the US centres on a suicidal man who arranges to meet several like-minded people and learns upon arriving at the meeting that they are in fact killers looking for a willing victim. Pandastorm holds German-speaking rights.

Cinemavault’s vice-president of acquisitions Michael Paszt negotiated the Savage deal with producer Conor Barry of SP Films and brokered the Must Love Death deal with Pandastorm Pictures managing director Justus Peter and Anna Wendt Filmproduktion.
