Heim to receive Lifetime Acheivement Award to the Editor, while Ozazaki [pictured] will be presented with the Outstanding Achivement Award as a Documentary Filmmaker.

Academy Award winners Alan Heim and Steve Okazaki will be honoured at the upcoming 20th edition of the Plus Camerimage festival, held in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

The festival will present Heim with the Lifetime Achievement Award to the Editor and Okazaki with the Outstanding Achievement Award as a Documentary Filmmaker during the festival’s closing night ceremony on Dec 1.

“We’re thrilled to welcome and recognise two legends in their respective fields,” commented festival director Marek Żydowicz. “Alan and Steven possess unique gifts that have allowed them to carve out exceptional careers in the movie industry and shape great stories for millions to enjoy on screen.”

American film editor Heim has over 35 film credits and won the Oscar for Best Film Editing for his work on the drama Network. American director, producer and screenwriter Okazaki won an Oscar for his short documentary Days of Waiting, which focussed on life in a World War II Japanese internment camp.
