New deals from Aktis Film International and Spanish sales outfit Imagina.

  • Aktis Film International has added Achim Michael Hasenberg’s award-winning documentary I Want To Run: The Toughest Race In The World to its EFM lineup.

In addition, the Leipzig-based sales agent has an extensive back catalogue of new HDremastered versions of such films as Carlito’s Way, The Polar Bear King and Grey Owl.

  • Spanish sales outfit Imagina has closed a Russian deal on Picasso’s Gang with distributor Carmen Films.

Set in 1911, the film, written and directed by Fernando Colomo, imagines that Pablo Picasso, Guillaume Apollinaire and their friends were involved in the legendary robbery of the Mona Lisa from the Louvre.

Ignacio Mateos (Pablo Picasso), Pierre Bénézit (Guillaume Apollinaire), Lionel Abelanski (Max Jacob) and Raphaëlle Agogué (Fernande Olivier) headline the cast.
