Everyday, Hannah Arendt and Wadjda [pictured] among films in contention.

The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (TBNFF) has revealed its list of 20 EurAsia competition titles that will compete for €10,000 Grand Prix award at the upcoming 16th edition.

Among those nominated are Michael Winterbottom’s Everyday, which follows a struggling working class wife and mother, Margarethe von Trotta’s biopic Hannah Arendt, Haifaa Al-Mansour’s Wadjda and Arsen A. Ostojic’s Halima’s Path, a Balkan co-production about the aftermath of the Bosnian War.

The Stagnant, an Indian production by Bikramjit Gupta, will have its European premiere at the TBNFF. Three films nominated for the foreign language Oscar - Toomas Hussar’s Mushrooming, Rusudan Chkonia’s Keep Smiling and Pablo Berger’s Blancanieves - will also be in contention for the Grand Prix.

The festival will be held from Nov 12-28 in Tallinn, Estonia.
