Abel Ferrara, Mike Figgis and Gaspar Noe are among the directors taking part in a showcase of short films about dreams.

The showcase, taking place at the Palasi theatre tonight (May 19), will also include shorts from Chris Graham, Griffin Marchus, James Franco, Joe Coleman, Lou Ye, Sean Lennon and Zhang Yuan.

The directors remit was to create a 42-second film on the topic of “How do we dream?”. The directors’ films will be featured online (www.42x42.com) for a year.

42Below, a New Zealand based spirits company, is behind the project and has curated the online exhibition. The event will take place simultaneously with a screening at the National Film Museum in Beijing, China.
