Fortissimo Films hasacquired worldwide rights outside the US, France, Benelux and Italy to SydneyPollack's documentary Sketches Of FrankGehry, which screens in official selection, in an out-of-competition slot, atthis year's Cannes.

Oscar-winning filmmaker Pollack- who is friends with acclaimed architect Frank O. Gehry and filmed thedocumentary over five years - will present the film when he hosts the CinemaMaster class at Cannes on May 25.

Sony Pictures Classics hasNorth American rights to the film and will release it later this month. Sales havealso been concluded with Pathe for France, Belgium and the Netherlands and with Bim for Italy.

Featuring interviews withpeople such as Michael Eisner, Bob Geldof and Dennis Hopper, the film followsthe process by which Gehry has turned his abstract sketches into world-famous buildings such as the GuggenheimMuseum Bilbao and The Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

It was produced by UltanGuilfoyle whose previous work as producer includes the documentaries 1071 Fifth Avenue: Frank Lloyd Wright &The Guggenheim Museum, Clear CoolCrystal Stream and RobertRauschenberg: Making It Big.

Fortissimo has previouslyhandled documentaries including CapturingThe Friedmans, Mad Hot Ballroomand Super Size Me.
