It took a pair of boys, some oversexed twenty-somethings, a group of film legends and the last film of a recently deceased actress to do it, but The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen has ended its reign at number one after a surprising two week run in the top spot.

Columbia Tri Star's Bad Boys II broke out in first place on a huge 671 copies followed closely by American Wedding on nearly as many. Clint Eastwood's Cannes entry Mystic River landed at number three - despite an almost non-existent ad campaign, mystic indeed.

Following at number four is Janis & John - one of the two last films made with Marie Trintignant who died tragically this summer in Lithuania.

From number five on down its still the usual suspects with German cult film Good Bye, Lenin! still showing strong legs by only dropping 19% as compared to roughly 50% for most other titles in the top ten.
