The Rencontres Internationales de Cinema has announced four titles out of an eventual twenty which will screen during its upcoming 9th edition July 3-13.

The first four films to be signed are Bus 174 from Brazil's Jose Padilha, Extrano from Argentinian Santiago Loza, Ether from India's Velu Viswanadhan and Toutes Ces Belles Promesses from France's Jean-Paul Civeyrac.

The Rencontres, which is normally held in November, will for the first time make the move to summer and run in conjunction with Paris Cinema, a new event organised by the city and former Directors' Fortnight programmer Marie-Pierre Macia.

Along with the twenty premieres, an homage will be paid to legendary French actress Bulle Ogier whose films include Pauline S'en Va and Venus Beauty Institute and who will star in Claude Duty's upcoming Bienvenue Au Gite.
