Franchise Pictures has signed a deal with LA-based production outfit Magellan Filmed Entertainment to handle international sales on three pictures kicking off with Rennie's Landing, a drama about four college friends starring Peter Facinelli, Ethan Embry, Scott Foley and Charlotte Ayana.

The agreement marks the first time that Franchise has concluded a multi-picture deal with a single production outfit for foreign sales. Magellan will finance the films itself.

Magellan, chaired by Pat Charles and Terry Brewer, is a newly public production group which houses the producing talents of Michael Shane & Anthony Romano, the team behind Leonardo DiCaprio's next film Catch Me If You Can at DreamWorks SKG, and Michael Garrity & Mike Gabrawy. The two partnerships teamed up to produce Rennie's Landing, which is currently in post-production.

Rennie's Landing takes place when the four friends are about to leave university and then resumes one year later to see how far they have gone about achieving their dreams. It is the directorial debut of Marc Fusco, a former assistant to Steven Spielberg.
