UK based sales outfit GavinFilm has closed a string of deals on Yasmin,Kenny Glenaan's post 9/11 tale of Muslim life in Britain.

It has sold France (LesFilms du Safran), Brazil (California Films) and the UK (3DD Entertainment).Academy Films have the rights for Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

In the UK the film won 12.5%national television audience share attracting more than a million viewers forits recent Channel Four transmission. The film's UK DVD release is scheduledfor release on February 14 through 3DD.

The Sally Hibbin (ParallaxPictures) produced film, written by Simon Beaufoy (The Full Monty) was financed by Channel Four with Scottish Screen,Screen Yorkshire and EuroArts.

The film won the audienceaward at Dinard and the Ecumenical Jury prize at Locarno.

Yasminstar Archie Panjabi (Bend It LikeBeckham, East is East) will also be attending The Berlin Film Festival. Sheis one of the Shooting Stars 2005, a European Film Promotion (EFP) showcase forfast rising European acting talent.
