She will be tasked with expanding the use of social media across Premier.

Gemma Went has been appointed as director of docial media at London based company Premier PR. She will take up the post on April 1.

Went has 15 years’ experience as a marketing professional including five years of running her own agency and specialising as a social media strategist. She has worked with brands including Soap and Glory, Newcastle Brown Ale, Channel 4, The Guardian, Birra Moretti, Channel 4, FutureBrand and the Design Business Association.

Went’s new role will be to expand the use of social media across Premier as a whole, adding to the agency’s business development plans, bringing additional support to its specialist teams in campaign execution, and providing consultancy to Premier’s third party clients.
