The 500,282 admissions werealmost 50% up on the opening performance of the first Bridget Jones film whichwas seen by 350,000 cinemagoers on its first weekend on the release in summer2001 and went on to sell a total of 4.1m tickets.

Meanwhile, HansWeingartner's film The Edukators - steady at No. 6 - continued stronglywith the Top 15's second highest screen average - $ 5,340 - and had topped $1.7m by the end of its second weekend.
