Production began this week in Austin, Texas, on UK-based GoldcrestFilms International and Austin-based Orange Productions' dark romantic comedy ElvisAnd Anabelle.

Will Geiger is directing the story about an unlikely romance that blossomsbetween a deceased local beauty queen and the town mortician's son. Goldcrestis handling worldwide sales.

Max Mingella will play the mortician's son Elvis and Blake Livelywill co-star as Anabelle. Mary Steenburgen and Keith Carradine have also beenconfirmed.

Burnt Orange Productions' Carolyn Pfeiffer and Goldcrest's Nick Questedare producing and Goldcrest's John Quested and The University of Texas FilmInstitute's Tom Schatz are serving as executive producers.

Burnt Orange Productions is a production initiative set up in 2003by the University of Texas and William Morris Independent to produce low-budgetindependent features.
