TM Systems, the Miami and Hollywood-based designer of a fully integrated dubbing and subtitling service, has named finance veteran Gonzalo Marquez as CFO. Marquez arrives with more than nine years of experience in private equity investing and investment banking and was a principal of Banc of America Equity Partners, a $250m private equity fund with interests across Latin America. In his new role, he will be responsible for managing the company's financial priorities including financial reporting and strategic planning, managing relationships with providers of capital and developing and structuring transactions with strategic partners.

"Gonzalo has been extremely instrumental in the development of TM Systems' financial strategies over the past few months, and I have found him to be extremely knowledgeable, as well as a true team player," TM Systems CEO Ken Lorber said in a statement. "As TM Systems expands into new territories, Gonzalo's international business experience will provide us with a better understanding of our global market from the onset."

The company rose to prominence last year when it won an Emmy Award for technical excellence. The system formats subtitling and dubbing files (collectively known as language localisation) into digital files that can be transmitted to translators and actors around the world via email, saving time and space. Users can access a single screen that combines the film, script and time log.
