Mark Gooder is moving to Los Angeles in the newly createdposition of president of film acquisitions and development at Icon Productions.

Gooder will continue to serve as chief executive officer of IconFilm Distribution Australia and will divide his time between California and Sydney.He will report directly to Icon Productions president Bruce Davey.

"This is a unique opportunity to integrate the skills andmarket knowledge I have accumulated over the past 15 years and work with the Londonand Los Angeles offices to source strong, commercial material for Icon in theinternational marketplace," Gooder said.

Gooder set up Icon's Australian distribution operation in 2001, overseeingthe release of such titles as Gosford Park, We Were Soldiers, Bend It Like Beckham,Monster, The Passion Of The Christ, and Crash.

"Mark has been greatly responsible for the success of IconFilm Distribution in Australia," Davey said. "His expertise in allareas of the international film marketplace will continue to contribute to the growthof Icon Productions worldwide."
