Icelandic director Dagur Kari, who previously made festival this Noi Albinoi and Dark Horse, is gearing up for a December start of shoot for his next project The Good Heart.

The film, which shoots in San Francisco and Iceland, stars Ryan Gosling and Tom Waits. Kagur wrote the story, about a homeless boy living by the railroads in San Francisco who is 'adopted' by a sickly older man.

Zik Zak Filmworks will produce, with co-producers Nimbus Film in Denmark and Agat Films in France.

Skúli Fr. Malmqvist and Tor Sigurjonsson produce and Sigurjon Sighvatsson serves as the executive producer. Wild Bunch is handling international sales.
