Official figures released byWarner Bros put the international opening of Harry Potter And The PrisonerOf Azkaban at $113.5m from 7,885screens in 24 countries, which combines with the $93.7m domestic haul for a$207.2m worldwide opening.

The international bow wasthe third biggest of all time behind The Lord Of The Rings: The Return OfThe King and The MatrixRevolutions.

Highlights were anastonishing $23.9m from 535 sites in the UK, $17.7m with 2.2million admissionsfrom more than 800 screens in France, and $15.2m on 1,355 screens in Germanyfor the industry's sixth biggest ever bow there.

Taiwan produced $3.1m on 157prints for the industry's biggest ever opening, while $1.8m on 156 in Belgiumwas sufficient to claim the industry's third biggest bow, and $760,000 on 143prints in Argentina yielded the industry's fourth biggest opening.

All industry records were forgrosses excluding previews.

Meanwhile Troy added an impressive $23.2m and 3.7million admissionsfrom more than 8,700 screens in 58 countries in its third weekend, raising theestimated international running total to $265.1m.
