The HollywoodFilm Festival has teamed up with the International Documentary Association(IDA) for a special focus on documentaries at this year's festival which runsOct 12 to 18 in Los Angeles.
The documentaryfocus is comprised of Hollywood Docs Showcase which will screen documentarieswith a special focus on social and humanitarian themes, and the Hollywood DocsAccess Program, a series of roundtables which will provide documentarians withdirect access to agents, distributors and producers' reps.
'Since ourfounding in 1982, we have worked to promote non-fiction film and video, and toincrease public awareness and demand for the art of the documentary," said IDAexecutive director Sandra Ruch in a statement. "This opportunity fulfills thismission, by providing another venue to support the efforts of documentary film and video makers around the world."
