Mei AhEntertainment's Hidden Heroes toppedthe Hong Kong box office in a competitive week in which five new films werereleased.

The Joe Ma comedygrossed US$664,868 from 36 screens narrowly beating Fox's Garfield The Movie to the top spot. The film stars Ronald Cheng asa policeman who becomes entangled with a robot from the future played byCharlene Choi.

Fruit Chan's Dumplings opened in third position withUS$549,515 from 34 screens. As the film was slapped with a Category III rating,its audience is limited to persons 18 and above. In a departure from her usualcomedy roles, Miriam Yeung plays a middle-aged woman who eats dumplingscontaining human embryos to preserve her good looks.
