Hong Kong to get new three-day film market

Under the wing of the Hong Kong Festival and the HK Arts Development Council, the territory is to get a new film market, the Hong Kong Asia Screenings (HAS). The three-day event (April 2-4) will invite many of the top Asian films due to be completed in the first half of the year. "The timing and the fact that they are private screenings, will give buyers a chance to preview the best of the region before Cannes," said Jacob Wong programmer for the HK Festival.
