The Hungarian Film Critics association has named director Kornel Mundruczo's festival favorite Pleasant Days as the best Hungarian production of 2003.

Producer Viktoria Petranyi accepted the B. Nagy Laszlo prize for Mundruczo who is currently abroad developing his next feature, Delta.

Benedek Fliegauf's Oscar submitted Forest received the best first film award.

The critics' other clear favorite was Nimrod Antal's subway thriller, Control, which is slowly but surely climbing towards the two hundred thousand admission mark.

The film received the best director, best cinematography, best actor and best supporting actor awards.

Berlinale Shooting Stars participant Eszter Onodi received the best actress award for her performance in director Csaba Fazekas' Happy Birthday! Fazekas was awarded with the best screenplay prize for the same production.
