ICAP Media, a division of film intermediary and content provider ICAP Plc, has opened offices in Los Angeles.

The new base will help the group search for features and TV series for North American and foreign markets.

ICAP Media managing director Gennaro Buonocore will oversee operations in Los Angeles and said: “With our new Los Angeles office, we will be able to better implement our strategy of building up our media markets division both in traditional revenue platforms of buying and selling films, as well as utilising ICAP’s strength in the financial services market for media companies.

“ICAP is well known for innovation in transactional processes, which we plan to bring to the media sector as well.”  

In a related development Moving Pictures Film And TV (MPF&TV), which is supported by ICAP Media, recently hired the Bennett Media Worldwide sales and support team, headed by film and TV sales executive Paul Rich.
