Indian computer graphics company Maya Entertainment, owned by producer-director Ketan Mehta, is planning an initial public offering (IPO) on the Mumbai stock exchange within the next few months.

Indian investment companies, Intel Capital and Enam Securities, have picked up substantial stakes in the company ahead of the float. Proceeds from the IPO will be used to expand Maya's operations in India, which include providing computer graphics and animation to the film, television and advertising industries. Part of the investment will also be used to upgrade Maya's digital technology and increase its studio's production capacity.
