Fortissimo Film Sales' Wouter Barendrecht, German-based producer-distributor Karl Baumgartner, UK-based producers Judy Counihan and Rosa Bosch and The Warrior producer Bertrand Faivre are amongst the tutors at this month's Film Business School In New Zealand.

Twenty-one New Zealand producers have been selected to attend the five-day course, the first time that the event has been held in the southern hemisphere. The intensive residential course starts April 12 and focuses on financing and legal structures.

The international tutors will be led by Hugo Lasarte, director of the Media Business School, and New Zealander Margaret Nicoll, head of Madrid production company New Zeal and former managing director of Sogepaq. Other tutors include Bob Hayward of Summit Entertainment, Mark Gooder of Icon Distribution in Sydney and Paul Davis, formerly president of marketing with Intermedia in London.

Founded in 1993, the school has been run twice a year in Spain by the Media Business School, with support from the European Union's Media Plus programme. The New Zealand school has been organised by the New Zealand Film Commission with SPADA, the Screen Producers and Development Association, and the Screen Council.
