Japanese broadcaster and film financier Fuji TV has announced a slate of big-budget titles which are being handled by sales agents Gaga Communications and Pony Canyon at the AFM.

Gaga is handling international sales on Shaolin Girl which is being executive produced by Fuji TV's Chihiro Kameyama and Hong Kong filmmaker Stephen Chow. Directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro, who teamed with Kameyama on the Bayside Shakedown franchise, the action pic stars Kou Shibazaki (Sinking Of Japan). Japanese release is scheduled for spring 2008.

Pony Canyon is handling the bulk of Fuji TV's other titles including Koki Mitani's upcoming feature The Magic Hour, an ensemble comedy starring Koichi Sato (Suite Dreams), Satoshi Tsumabuki (Waterboys) and Eri Fukatsu (Monkey Magic). Fuji TV will be screening first clips from the film which is scheduled for a May 2008 release.

Also on the Fuji/Pony Canyon slateis Wrestling With A Memory, based on a popular theatrical production, which stars Ryuta Sato (Umizaru series) and is directed by Norihiko Koizumi (Midnight Sun). The film is scheduled for a March 2008 release in Japan.

Market premiering at AFM will be Fuji TV's Christmas 2007 release, ice-hockey action drama Smilers, which is the second directorial feature by actor Takanori Jinnai.

Also offered for pre-sales is winter 2008 release Season Of Snow. Directed by Eiichiro Hasumi (Umizaru 2: Test Of Trust), the film boasts high-octane skiing sequences and a romantic storyline.
