Joseph S Woolf has joined New York-based investment banking firm Gerard Klauer Mattison (GKM) as a prinicipal in its entertainment media advisory group in Los Angeles. Woolf joins GKM from Trowbridge Capital, a financial consulting firm he founded in 2001. Prior to Trowbridge, Woolf helped create the entertainment lending division of Union Bank Of California.

The GKM Entertainment Advisory Group (EMA) serves the strategic needs of leading companies in the film, TV, music, broadcasting and entertainment services industries. The group was founded by managing director David Merritt, formerly partner in charge of entertainment at KPMG, in 2001.

Woolf helped steer Union Bank Of California to become one of the entertainment industry's key lenders, underwriting or arranging in excess of $2bn in commitments to a broad range of entertainment-related companies.
