Just Betzer dies, aged 59
Just Betzer, the celebrated Danish producer of Oscar-winner Babette's Feast (Babettes Gaestebud), died suddenly last week. Having not produced a film since 1992, Betzer had been planning a comeback and was scheduled to arrive in Mifed on Sunday 9 November. Aged only 59, Betzer started as a camera and production assistant and as a producer went on to make some 40 pictures including Nobody's Perfect and the Goldcabbage Family franchise.
