The third edition of Korea's indieKINO International Film Festival, due to have taken place later this month, has been postponed until December. Rather than spelling trouble, the reason appears to be the event's growing success.

Originally to have taken place Aug 19-Sept 15, the online event will now take place Dec 2-22.

"We want to expand our system so we can try something new called Indie Wing. This will cast away all the old and unnecessary methods to create something new and exciting," said Youn Sin-won, head of the festival's publicity department.

IndieKINO, which brands itself "a new step in the film world, a gathering of the world," uses online resources to showcase experimental films and keep in close contact with new directors.
