Peter Levinsohn has been promoted to executive vice president, worldwide pay-TV and pay-per-view, for 20th Century Fox.

Levinsohn has been senior vice president, international pay television and pay-per-view, since Sept 1997 and will now be responsible for the distribution of Fox's feature film and television programming to all worldwide pay-TV and pay-per-view markets.

Levinsohn has been instrumental in securing long-term pay-television and pay-per-view licensing arrangements in the major markets throughout the world as well as the recent extension of Fox's domestic output deal with HBO.

Levinsohn originally joined Fox in 1989 as a manager in the international theatrical division.
