Principalphotography began in Atlanta, Georgia, this week (July 21) on Lions Gate'scomedy Diary Of A Mad Black Woman.

Adapted by Tyler Perry from his hit play of the same name,the project is set in an affluent community and centres on a devoted wife of 20years who flips out when she discovers her husband wants to run off with herbest friend.

Kimberly Elise,Steve Harris, Shemar Moore, Tamara Taylor, Tyler Perry and Cicely Tyson star inthe picture, which is being directed by first-timer Darren Grant. Ruben Cannonis producing and Mike Upton serves as co-producer.
