Love Actually became Universal's sixth title of the year to pass$100m at the international box office at the weekend, marking the first timethis has happened at the studio and only the second time in industry historyafter Buena Vista International in 1997.

The romantic comedy added$5.9m from 2,650 sites in 31 UIP countries (excluding France, where it isreleased by Studiocanal) for a tantalising $99m international running total.

Its cumulative totalincluding France is $103m. The five other Universal titles to pass $100m thisyear were 8 Mile, Johnny English, Hulk, 2 Fast 2Furious and American Wedding.

Elsewhere Peter Pan beganits international run with a $1.2m number one opening in Australia, includingpreviews.

According to the distributorthis was 6% ahead of Elf and 15% ahead of Chicken Run. The filmis expected to play well into the holiday season in Australia, where six-weekschool holidays begin on Monday (Dec 22).

Peter Pan is due to open in the UK and New Zealand on Dec 26and South Africa on Jan 2.

21Gramsraised its international running total to $4.2m and Intolerable Crueltycontinues to play in more than 30 territories and has grossed $75m to date,with five left to open.
