Vancouver-based MainframeEntertainment has entered into an agreement with celebrity skateboarder TonyHawk to produce a CGI animated feature.

Tentatively titled TonyHawk in "Boom Boom Goes The Circus",the direct-to-video release will be handled worldwide by Mainframe's majorshareholder IDT Entertainment. IDT Entertainment is a subsidiary of NewJersey-based IDT Corporation, an international telecom, entertainment andtechnology company.

Hugely popular with teensaround the world, Hawk has parlayed his skateboard finesse into a globalindustry.

The film will feature thevoice and animated likeness of Hawk in a story centred around his branded trickshows, the Boom Boom HuckJam. The film tells the story of an evil circus ownerwho plots to ruin the show by kidnapping the star attraction. Production isslated for November 2004 toward release in early 2006.

Mainframe is currently inproduction on a CGI animated Inspector Gadget DVD feature, as well as a slate of new proprietarytelevision specials and DVD features.

IDT owns a minority interestin Stan Lee's POW! Entertainment, which is readying at least six animationprojects for direct-to-DVD distribution. The company also has a wide-rangingdeal with Todd McFarlane Productions to produce programming and merchandisebased on McFarlane's Spawn.
