Catch 23 Entertainment, the newly formed LA production outfit formed by financier and philanthropist Robert B Sturm, has hired talent manager John Carrabino as executive vice president of Catch 23's as yet unnamed talent management division.

In his new position, he will help build and oversee the division which plans to hire additional literary and talent managers as well as to acquire or to ally itself with established management companies in the US and UK. The announcement was made by Catch 23 president Jeremy Barber; Bruce Vann represented Catch 23 in the hire, with Michael Adler representing Carrabino.

Prior to joining the company, Carrabino served for six years as a manager with Morey Management Group representing clients including Renee Zellweger, Shannon Doherty, Gretchen Mol and Joanne Whalley among others. He previously worked as an agent with Metropolitan Talent Agency and at ICM.

Catch 23's first film production was After Image which played in American Spectrum at the Sundance Film Festival; it has also made an equity investment in Killer Films' One Hour Photo starring Robin Williams to which Fox Searchlight has worldwide rights.
