Canal Plus has announced the departure of its head of cinema, Evi Fullenbach, and the appointment of Manuel Alduy as her replacement. In a press release, the company said Fullenbach was leaving for personal reasons but will continue to manage relationships between the US studios and Canal from her base in London.

Until present, Alduy has acted as head of French film acquisitions for the Canal Plus group. He will now oversee both foreign and French acquisitions as well as managing the editorial film policies of Canal Plus and Canal Plus Cinema. The supervision of TPS Star and the Cine Cinema thematic channels also falls under his mandate going forward.

Canal Plus executive Franck Weber, meanwhile, will take over as director of French film acquisitions.
