Madrid-based sales house KWA has signed a first-look deal on all forthcoming productions out of Mexican national film institute IMCINE. KWA will also handle worldwide rights on two recent IMCINE films, Streeters (De La Calle) and Violet Perfume (Perfume De Violetas), both of which made waves as top prize winners at this year's Guadalajara Film Festival.

The deal gives KWA a key foothold in the booming Mexican market and forms part of founder and president Kevin Williams' strategic push into Latin America. Already a key outlet for independent Spanish cinema, KWA recently picked up two feature film catalogs from Argentina's Patagonik Film Group and Aries.

Streeters, directed by newcomer Gerardo Tort, and Violet Perfume, from director Marisa Sistach, both star up-and-coming actor Luis Fernando Pena, who took home the best actor prize at Guadalajara for Streeters.

Warner Bros. handles Latin American distribution on both titles.
