M. Night Shyamalan has beenmade ShoWest Director of the Year it was announced byMitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of the eventthat will be held in Las Vegas, March13-16. Shyamalanwill be presented with the award on the closing night ceremony at Bally's andParis Las Vegas.

Shyamalan's next feature is Ladyin the Water, for Warner Bros. Picturesstaring Paul Giamatti as Cleveland Heep, a man trying to disappear among the dilapidated burntout lights bulbs and broken appliances of his apartment complex. However, lifewill never be the same again when Cleveland finds someone else hiding in the building - Story (BryceDallas Howard) a young woman who has been living in the passageways beneath thebuilding's swimming pool. The film is due for release later in the summer.

Lady in theWater is Shyamalan'sseventh feature, his other films include TheSixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs and The Village.
