Camp, the musical romp set in a summer camp star school, has been snapped up for the UK by Momentum Films.
Momentum scored after beating off competition from numerous rival bidders and is believed to have paid a "near mid-six figure sum." Momentum, senior vice president of acquisitions Sally Caplan said: "I was so impressed by the energy fun and heart of Camp that when I saw the audience reaction in Sundance, I just knew we had to have it."
Michael J Werner, co-chief of Fortissimo Film Sales, the picture's international handler, said: "I expect Camp to be Fortissimo's most successful film ever in terms of sales and box office."
Fortissimo boarded Camp at Toronto, putting up a significant mid-six figures minimum guarantee. Other deals in the bag include one to Asmik Ace for Japan, struck at Mifed, and one to A-Films for Benelux and another with Greece's Audiovisual Enterprices, agreed since Rotterdam.
