Argo gets Palm Spring award

Cast members from the film including Ben Affleck, Alan Arkin and Bryan Cranston will attend the festival, which runs from Jan 3-14, to accept the honour at the event’s Jan 5 awards gala.

“Argo features a plethora of colorful characters brought to life by an outstanding acting ensemble,” said festival chairman Harold Matzner.

“Directing what is, unquestionably, his most accomplished film to date, Ben Affleck leads an extraordinary cast, also including Alan Arkin, John Goodman and Bryan Cranston, each of whom delivers powerhouse performances.”
