Pixar’s Brave, Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph and DreamWorks Animation’s Rise of the Guardians got the most mentions in the nomination list for this year’s Annie Awards, presented by the International Animated Film Society, or ASIFA-Hollywood.

In the Best Animated Feature category the three leaders were nominated along with Disney’s Frankenweenie, Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania, Focus Features’ ParaNorman, Aardman Animations’ The Pirates! Band of Misfits and Gkids’ The Rabbi’s Cat.

Nominees in the animated feature directing category were Genndy Tartakovsky for Hotel Transylvania, Joann Sfar and Antoine Delesvaux for The Rabbi’s Cat, Remi Bezancon and Jean-Christophe Lie for Zarafa (also from Gkids), Rich Moore for Wreck-It Ralph and Sam Fell and Chris Butler for ParaNorman.

Besides it awards for animated films, ASIFA-Hollywood also gives an award for Character Animation in a Live Action Production. This years nominees in the category were the teams behind The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man and two animal characters in Life of Pi.
