Sony, Universal and Warner Bros are scheduled to release titles in the fourth quarter after home entertainment advocacy group The Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) announced on Tuesday (9) the format would follow the US and the UK.

The cloud-based service allows consumers to access their libraries and play content across a variety of platforms. According to DEG more than five million people have registered in the US.

In the coming months UltraViolet is expected to arrive in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, France and Germany.
