Chanoch Ze’evi’s Israeli documentary will open theatrically in New York in the third quarter followed by a limited national rollout and day-and-date VoD launch.

Hitler’s Children centres on the lives of descendants of top Nazi officials and their daily struggle to move away from the horror of their past.

“This film is important, and powerful, and emotional on so many levels.” Film Movement vp of acquisitions and distribution Rebeca Conget said. “It makes you question the idea of inherited guilt and responsibility, and the power of history on the individual’s psyche.

“We are hoping it will be seen by millions of people in North America, and open up dialogue and discussion on the effects of the Holocaust on not just the victims’ but the perpetrators’ descendants.”

Film Movement president Adley Gartenstein and Conget negotiated the deal with Cinephil managing director Philippa Kowarsky on behalf of the filmmakers.
