Co-founders and co-CEOs Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson have promoted the executive to general counsel and evp of business affairs.

Fierson will report directly to Kosove and Johnson as well as company COO and CFO Scott Parish.

Fierson was named Alcon’s first in-house counsel in 2006 and joined the company as vp of business affairs.

Before joining Alcon he served as senior counsel at Screen Gems after working as an attorney in Paramount Pictures’ Network Television production division.

“David is a key team member in our Company and has been since he joined,” said Alcon co-founders and co-CEOs Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson in a joint statement. “He is tireless, scrupulous and gifted, and he helped fashion and execute a number of very creative solutions and deals that have resulted in rewarding projects for us, including Dolphin Tale and the upcoming Blade Runner franchise.”

Current films slated for upcoming release from Alcon include teen fantasy Beautiful Creatures [pictured] on Feb 14 starring Alden Ehrenreich and Alice Englert and directed by Richard LaGravenese.

Alcon is in production on the abduction thriller Prisoners starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal.
