He takes on the role of creative director at Sam Branson’s newly rebranded company Sundog Pictures.
Sam Anthony has been appointed as creative director of UK production company Sundog Pictures, which was set up in 2009 by Sam Branson under the name of Current Sponge.
The company last week at Sheffield Doc/Fest that it was rebranding, with a focus on bringing new audiences to important subjects.
Anthony joins Sundog Pictures following three years at the BBC, where he worked in Knowledge Commissioning across all factual genres, with special responsibility for the independent sector in Scotland.
His producer credits include documentaries such as Welcome to Lagos and Terry Pratchett – Choosing to Die. Prior to the BBC Anthony worked at companies including Shine and RDF Media.
