Film London’s London UK Film Focus (LUFF) has set the dates of its 10th edition for June 24-27 and is expecting around 120 buyers and 50 titles at the event.

The export market, which supports new movies and film companies from the UK, works in partnership with the BFI and promotes British talent and titles to the international market.

Last year’s event generated about $8.5m worth of sales.

Applications are now open for the Breakthrough strand, which offers a platform for emerging British film-makers seeking sales representation and providing a chance for international buyers to monitor upcoming UK talent.

Film-makers interested in applying must have a recently completed feature length project of theatrical quality ready for June 2013 with predominantly British content, cast or production team.

Deadline for submissions is March 21 and full details of the criteria can be found at www.filmlondon.org.uk/luff

Helena Mackenzie, head of inward investment and business development for Film London, said: “Over the past decade, LUFF has showcased almost 400 British films, extending their international reach and provided an invaluable platform within the industry for both international buyers and UK sales agents.

“LUFF’s past and ongoing achievements are worthy of celebration and I look forward to its further growth in the upcoming decade.”
