Violaine Pichon and Pape Boye are joining forces to create new international film sales company Versatile.

Between them, the Paris-based pair has more than two decades of experience in film sales and acquisitions.

Pichon was an international sales manager at Celluloid Dreams having started out at Focus Features followed by a stint at TF1 international while Boye was a co-founder of Funny Balloons alongside Peter Danner.

Under their new entity Versatile, the pair plans to handle a slate of a dozen pictures a year, consisting of new talents as well as established auteur directors.

“Versatile is passionately committed to nurturing and consolidating privileged relationships - artistic and commercial - with the broadest range of international filmmakers and distributors,” they said in a joint statement.

Pichon and Pape are in Berlin presenting the new company and scouting for titles. They plan to launch their first slate at Cannes.
